Davis County business attorney
I’m off I-15 in North Salt Lake. Bountiful, Woods Cross, Centerville, Farmington, Kaysville, and Layton owners sign here.
Davis County is one county and a lot of different companies. A dentist in Bountiful, a contractor in Layton, a shop in Farmington, and a two-person LLC in Woods Cross do not have the same file. They do have the same drive. My office is in the county, at the south end, not in a downtown tower.
Jon Miller Law is at 1010 North 500 East, Suite 200, North Salt Lake, UT 84054. Call or text (801) 872-9889. East of I-15 Exit 315. That’s the only office. I don’t have a second desk in Bountiful, Farmington, or Layton.
I form companies, write the rules, review the contracts, and help owners who agree on a buyout or a closing.

The office is already in the county
North Salt Lake sounds like Salt Lake County. It isn’t. You’re in Davis County, which is why a Davis County owner doesn’t need a Salt Lake City page to find me.
From Bountiful it’s a few minutes south. From Woods Cross you cross the freeway and you’re here. Centerville, Farmington, Kaysville, and Layton are a straight shot down I-15. Signing is usually at the office. The conversation before that can be a video call if the drive is the thing in the way.
What owners in this county actually call about
A new LLC, because the side work turned into a real company. An operating agreement nobody read after an online filing. A contract a customer in Salt Lake sent up the freeway. A partner who wants out and is still willing to sign.
- Formation. A straightforward LLC has a published price. Everything else on this page is quoted after we talk.
- The rulebook. Death, divorce, disability, and a member who leaves. I write those into the operating agreement instead of hoping the template did.
- A sale or a buyout. The letter of intent, the purchase papers, or an agreed member change.
- A license. If you practice a licensed profession, a regular LLC can be the wrong box. I look at the license before I pick the entity.
Bountiful is not Layton
I won’t write one county paragraph and swap the city name. Bountiful is older houses and long-standing practices, a few minutes from the office. Layton is the biggest city in the county, up by Hill Air Force Base, and the drive is longer. Farmington is the county seat, with the courthouse. Kaysville sits between them. Woods Cross and Centerville are the short hops.
The legal work is the same practice. The facts aren’t. A company run out of a home on the Bountiful bench is a different file than a shop with employees in Layton. Tell me which city the work happens in. I’ll use that, not a county average.
If you live in one of those cities and want the local estate-planning page, those already exist. This page is the company. The house and the company should still match, which is why I do both.
How we start, and what it costs
Thirty minutes. You tell me what the company is trying to do. I tell you whether it’s a formation, a contract, a buy-sell, or something I should leave alone.
LLC formation is the one business price I publish, and it includes the state filing fee. It’s on the pricing page. Contracts, buyouts, PLLCs, registrations, and closings are a flat fee I quote after the consult. You see the number before I draft. I don’t bill by the hour.
I’m licensed in Utah, Arizona, and Texas. A Davis County company that also works in one of those states can stay with me. I don’t take work in other states.
